A Great Day At The Park
We made it to California all in one piece! Our first day out, was a family BBQ hosted by my Moms company Hitachi. She works in the TechOps department, and apparently they are the only ones who are treated to such an event thanks to a fantastic boss. It was our treat to attend, and we were amazed at how nice everyone was. My Mom is lucky to be in such a great department. The festivities included a massive BBQ lunch with great food and ice creams. There was also a bounce house, magician and face painters for the kids. From the minute the bounce house opened you can guess Dallen was already wearing himself out jumping and going up and down the slide. He was in their for a LONG time! I had to tear him out to come get his cold lunch, which he had hardly started when the magician began his show.
We all sat on the grass watching and laughing at this fellow. He really did his show justice, I even got caught up in the show. After the show Dallen was begging for a face painting and he had to get of course ...
The Amazing Spider Man!
You would think that would have been the end to our fun, but nope! We then headed down to the lake for some paddle boating. Of course we got the purple sparkly one! Mom and Marc to Dallen, while Dave and I had the terror. Poor Rorey was crying pretty much the whole time.
Dallen on the other hand loved it. We had fun crashing into Mom, oh wait Mom crashed into us! Shoved us off course so it was no wonder we came back in second.
On the other side of the park, the have a train! We got to ride all the way around the park behind a pretty cool little engine. Dallen was very interested in watching for squirrels, which were everywhere.
Our final pit stop was to the merry-go-round. Dallen loved this one because it was super fast. Since there was only one more free ticket, I got to be the lucky rider. Man did I get dizzy! Glad we only had to do it once. :)
By that time it was about 4pm. We spent the entire day having a blast. Thanks again Mom for such an amazing and memorable day!
